AUTUMN

The once-stinging sunshine
loses its strength in the light breeze
and green leaves
start to put on colorful clothing
From somewhere, the sound of crickets
urges autumn in
Daylight, once long,
contracts in the coming dusk
Morning and evening, the cold air
makes us fasten our clothes
The blue sky rises higher,
and when fallen leaves roll in the wind
the farmer becomes busy,
preparing for the coming winter
The mother wishing her daughter wed this year
sighs, gazing at the moon

가을
나 두 섭
한동안 따갑던 햇살은
살랑거리는 바람에 힘을 잃어가고
푸르던 나뭇잎들은
색동옷을 입어 가는데
어디선가 귀뚜라미 소리
가을을 재촉하네.
길고 길던 낮 시간은
조금씩 다가오는 저녁에 짧아지고
아침저녁 찬 기운은
옷깃을 조이게 하네.
푸른 하늘은 더욱 높아지고
불어온 바람이 낙엽을 굴릴 때
다가올 겨울을 대비하며
바빠진 농부의 일손
금년 가기 전 딸 시집보내려는 엄마는
초승달 보며 한숨짓는다.
