I cross the river of the world

So light

it flies around the sky

and even if boats collide

nobody gets hurt

No other boat

as good as this in the world

강가에 매단 빈 배를 타고

나는 세상 강을 건너가네.

너무 가벼워서

하늘도 날아다니고

배끼리 부딪쳐도

상처 주는 일 없고

이보다 더 좋은 배가

세상에 없으니

그대가 준 빈 배를 타고

오늘도 나는 강을 건너고 있다.

two drops of water

falling in a cave.

Water drops

wear out a hole

even on strong, firm rock.

What is weak

and what is strong?

Like water, I too, shall show that

softness wins over strength

and conquers toughness

물처럼

동굴 속에서 떨어지는

한 방울

두 방울의 물.

단단하고 강한 바위 위에도

구멍을 뚫는

물방울

무엇이 약하고

무엇이 강한가?

나도 물처럼

부드러움이 강함을 이기고

단단함을 이긴다는 것을 보여주리.
